The Ranger volleyball season has come to an end for JV, and varsity plays their last game with the trail on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

“I’m going to miss playing with them,” varsity senior Reaghan Jones said. “We perceived, and we’ve become such a good family.”

Coach Bill Tippet has known all the seniors on varsity since they started in the volleyball program their freshman year, and he said this year is something special.

“I think this season stands out,” Tippet said. “Some of the kids we had a long time in our program have really stepped up. A lot of these kids you know them for a long time, and then you see them leave. It’s always sad.”

This season, the student-athletes have worked hard to maintain the playing level, and through their continued effort, this is the second year in a row that the volleyball team made it to playoffs since 2016.

“I’m pretty sad about it,” JV sophomore Ayanna Tonche said. “We built a family. I’m not only letting go of the season, I’m letting go of the team and the thought of that breaks my heart.”
