Varsity and junior varsity winter guard competed at the North Texas Color Guard Association competition Feb. 6 at Bowie High School in Arlington. Varsity placed first, while junior varsity placed ninth.

The junior varsity team moved into the higher category after they placed first out of twenty schools at the NTCA scholastic regional A competition, Jan. 23 at Lamar High School in Arlington. Varsity winter guard placed third out of twenty-one schools at the same competition.

Junior varsity guard leader, Abril Moreno, says that she had some doubts for the season (especially after being moved to an all varsity category,) but knows that the team can step it up and do what they need to if they put their minds to it.
