Vlog: ‘If I don’t win I’m going to cry’
Covid set back my wrestling and had a huge impact on the season
May 19, 2021
I didn’t make the volleyball team coming in my freshman year. At the time it felt like the worst thing ever. Seriously. Volleyball, the sport I played since I was five years old, was my ticket to an awesome freshman year.
Instead, a piece of paper handed to me changed my volleyball dream to devastation.
They cut me. I didn’t make the team.
But the story doesn’t end there because at freshman orientation a senior I didn’t know at the time gave me a flyer. An invitation to wrestling.
I figured I’d try it; it didn’t seem too bad. Plus it would be easy…….
Oh no, was I wrong. I was in for a big shock; it was not easy. And it didn’t take long for me to learn it was a big deal. A huge deal. I loved it.
I fell in love with wrestling at 14 years old, and my love and passion for the sport has only grown.
This Vlog is my story. A story of dreams, of growth, of determination. It’s my journey. I’m willing to put in the work. I hope you’ll follow along.
