Getting to know Rocking Rangers: Presley Matthews

Q: What do you think your purpose is here at Chisholm?

A: I believe my purpose is to help my friends and be a spirited person.

Q: What are your plans after high school?

A: I would like to go to college for something medical related. I’m looking into TCU or the Military. I just really like helping people.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Being in Cheer, taking photos and crafting. I deal with a lot of stressful things, so my hobbies help me relieve my stress.

Q: How do you feel about being a Rocking Ranger?

A: I’m happy. I normally don’t get noticed because I blend in with the crowd. It feels good to know that people notice me.

Q: Why do you think you were nominated?

A: I’m always helpful, I’m never down and I always see the good in people and if they need help I’ll help them instead of judging them.

Q: Do you have any positive advice for your fellow classmates?

A: Always look for the good in a person because making one mistake doesn’t make you a bad person.

Q: What was your biggest fear coming into your first year of high school?

A: Being the “underdog”, not being able to do what the upperclassmen can do. I was afraid of being let down. I had heard Chisholm was awesome.

Q: Is there anything you want to see more of around the school?

A: I would like to see more positivity and more one on one connections. I also would like to see more spirit and more of a family connection and more effort to support from fellow classmates.

Q: What motivates you to stay positive?

A: To me there’s no point in being upset when there’s good to look at in a situation. It’s like when you lose in a game there’s always a success to look at.
