Seniors Brianna Salas & Angel Mansukhani signed with Trinity Valley community college Wednesday in the library to play volleyball after graduation.

The girls are the first to officially sign with a college; more athletes will sign Wednesday, Feb 4, as part of national signing day.

Mansukhani said she look forward to playing with her best friend.

“Its pretty exciting, actually ,” Mansukhani said. “I’m pretty nervous, though.”

Trinity valley offered the girls a two-year scholarship, which Salas said is uncommon for a junior college. Most schools only offer one-year scholarships. She said she wanted to go to a junior college and they were her top choice.

Salas said, “They’re a very competitive one.”
