1. Who has had the biggest influence on your life?

My father and mother.

What lessons did you learn?

How to live the way they did, the importance of family, how to raise a family, the importance of family traditions, and always sitting around the dinner table at dinner time.

2.  What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?

Watching my husband deploy to Afghanistan and wondering if that was the last time I would ever see him alive.

3. What are you proudest in your life? Why?

I am the most proud of my family. Having three children and watching them become their own person is nothing short of amazing!! Watching them accomplish things and seeing the talents that they develop each individually is so fun to watch!! I am also very proud of my husband. He is the leader of our home, and he is such an example to our family both at home and a leader in the work force. He is currently employed with the Army Corps of Engineers Chief of Civil Section Design.

4. If you could do everything again, what would you do differently?

I would have taken high school grades a lot more seriously. I would have actually tried to get scholarships and go to college. This is why I push my kids to be the best they can be because I don’t want them to have the regret that I do.

5.  Who is your favorite relative and why?

My Grandma Heyborne. She was an example of how everyone should be. Never spoke a negative word about anyone, always had a heart of gold, loved unconditionally and was always calm in the presence of my grandma. I miss her so much!

6. What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in life?

That your happiness depends on you and only you, to always live in each moment because life is truly very short  and to always do your best in everything you do.
